Nope. Barring that his best win is probably Ben Rothwell which is a solid scalp but from there on it's Shawn Jordan and Dave Herman competing for 3rd best - then a bunch of journeymen. Not a very deep resume. He lost a lot of fights he shouldn't have because of the slugging style he chose to adopt instead of his elite BJJ.

Well that and wasn't he throwing his lot in with nationalist extremists (with a hint of crypto-Nazi)?

Being in Kadyrov's speed-dial contacts is a bad enough indictment of character as is.

He had some questionable prison tattoos. All of that is easier to look past for most(myself included) than the situation with his maid.

This might end up being another Tim Hague situation. I don't get why Gonzaga wants to box, it can't be for money as he'd make more off his name as a former UFC title challenger in some regional mma org.

But he is only boxing another MMA bloke who is just as old

Sonny Bill is an A level athlete, these guys are 40+ who would have been d level athletes in their prime.

Imagine what the white buffalo would have done to them? Look at the ease with which Sonny Bill beat him. Ffs they had to cut the fight 2 rounds short to save Frans well being!!!

Shame the Gonzaga scalp is going to be wasted on Emelianenko, who is probably just going to make his debut and then call it a day (he's 36, and likely just doing this in order to help promote Kadyrov's stable and for the mild bragging rights; I doubt he thinks he actually has a realistic chance of a successful crossover long-term) rather than feeding him to a Spong or Kyotaro, somebody that is actually taking a whack at being a contender.

He had a boxing match some years back that ended in a draw. Like others have said I'm pretty worried about Gonzaga getting Hague'd so the sooner this escapade ends the better.
