Heavyweight title fights have become a side show.

When Wlad was the champion he used to fight one or two top 10 ranked opponents a year and he did if for a period of ten years.

The last title defenses for Wilder and Joshua were:

    Breazeale ( not even top 40 )
    Szpilka ( top 15-20 )
    Duhapus ( Top 40-50 )
    Molina ( Top 15-25 )

Come on guys. You're breathing new life into the old bum of the month phrase. Fans are losing interest in these glorified sparring sessions, partly watching because we suspect both of these " champions " are packing some glass in their jaws.

    Wilder? He'd ducking Povetkin!

Fury? Apparently, he's under investigation and pulled out of a re-match with Wlad because he wasn't in shape.

Joshua? I'll give him a pass for a very easy first title defense. No belt milking, please!

Two years ago, I thought boxing was in a transitional stage. Most of us thought that, but admit it, the change has been for the worse. If the trend continues, heavyweight boxing is going to lose some fans.

Didnt Wilder agree to fight but Povetkin didnt pass the test. How is that ducking. Could he even fight him when he is under investigation?

Did Wilder say he'd fight him? The stuff Povetkin took was legal last year.

I think Wilder will use the confusing to exit out.

Exactly, I think the OP is biased. If an Eastern European fighter fought the same opponents he would be making excuses for their competition not criticizing them.

Yes they had everything ready for the fight.
Yeah but it wasnt legal when the test was done. It isnt Wilders fault he dosent make testing rules

Joshua just had his 17th pro fight and is going to fight Parker soon. Wilder was scheduled to fight Povetkin before he tested positive for an illegal substance. Fury is fighting Klitschko(Hopefully it actually happens). And Ortiz has already fought some top opposition in Jennings.

Wilder is killing the division and the cancellation (postponement) of the two biggest matches wilder/Povetkin and Fury/Wlad have hurt.

Wilder is getting the most exposure in America but fighting Molina, Duhaupas, Szpilka, Arreola- is just insanely pathetic.
