They're there based on their built up past cv. I still don't think anybody below them has really done much to overtake them. Both look on the way down now with the young brigade about to overtake.

Helenius despite his short comings still has KO'd 3 former titlists. Arreola has failed when he's stepped up both times. Beyond that his cv only really has wins over Walker, McCline and Witherspoon. Boytsov's career path his been similar to Arreola although I feel he has more of those type of wins against that type of fighter than Arreola has without also being dominated twice. Fury is not far behind Boytsov with a similar career, again, Boytsov's just beaten a few more of that standard of fighter. I can see a case for Jennings being higher and Perez being lower but it's quite tight between 20 to 30 with not much between anybody.

I was thinking about having Wilder and Price ranked equally 30th but couldn't be arsed. There's nothing between them cv wise. It all depends on how you rate McDermott, Beck, Manswell and Sexton
Under your reckoning then I would have to have John McDermott and Page in the top 30 due to having beaten Fury and Mitchell.

Sexton and McDermott are clearly better than Beck and Manswell.
Sexton has a couple of wins over Rogan and was ahead on many people's cards against Chisora at the time of the stoppage.

McDermott sparked Olubamiwo in one and was robbed against Danny Williams (twice, in many people's view)

Manswell has wins/good performances against, erm....nobody.
Beck has been horribly shot for years now.

Chagaev should be ranked a lot lower, especially after going 7 rounds with a guy Tom Dallas sparked out in one.

Aside from that, good list. No really glaring omissions/inclusions and I'd say 37 of the 40 deserve their place. I would remove Wilder, Mormeck and Gomez and replace them with Lawrence, Oquendo and Takam.

Chambers, Cameron and Mormeck all strongly rumoured to be moving down to cruiser as well.

Ustinov only 17? :patsch How the **** are Wach and Dimitrenko higher than he is. After Saturday he better be at least in the top 5 once he destroys little Pulev.

Not a flawless list but pretty good, Top 40 is hard.

Klitschkos have been ducking him. He should be #4 or 5 already!

Once he KO's Pulev no doubt Waldo throws his IBF belt in the bin rather than face his mandatory the Iron chinned KO machine Ustinov.

    Good list. My disagreements are.....

-I'd rank Arreola higher, even though he may be past his best already. If you count Chambers as a heavy, I'd have Arreola at #8. Arreola's win list is pretty decent....the only reason I can think of not to have him in the Top 10 is if you are doing an h2h ranking and you are assuming is Arreola is done as an elite fighter.
-I'd take USS Cunningham h2h over most of the fighters you have ranked ahead of him all the way up to Thompson. It's been shown in recent years that the very best cruisers are Top 15 material at heavyweight, and that the weakness in the Heavyweight division makes for a good opportunity for big cruisers. If you were ranking Huck he'd probably be in the Top 15....so why not Cunningham?
-After Wlad destroys Wach, he won't be in anyone's Top 20. Suffice it to say you are overrating him.
-Chisora deserves to be Top 20, if not Top 15.

Here's my own Top 20 (counting Chambers) in descending order for comparison

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Povetkin
    Haye
    Chambers
    Adamek
    Pulev
    Arreola
    Thompson
    Helenius
    Fury
    Solis
    Cunningham
    Ustinov
    Chagaev
    Chisora
    Boystov
    Dimitrenko
    Lawrence
    Mitchell

To all those that think Haye should be higher than Povetkin or Adamek :rofl:rofl:rofl
Who has Haye ever beaten except worst titleholder ever coming of a loss to a 44 yo

Dimitrenko and Thompson should be lower, Mormeck shouldn't be on the list even if he stays at heavyweight. He barely squeaked thorough his heavyweight opposition with razor close ud's and sd not to mention landing only 3 punches on Wlad in 4 rounds. Deontay Wilder and Edmund Gerber shouldn't be on the list. Deontay fought absolute bums when his best opponent Manswell fought the White Tyson he was running from him like he fought a prime Iron Mike and still got dropped in the last round. Edmund Gerber should not be on the list either based on his last two performances or even if u discard them at the absolute bottom of it.

If u go by past cv Arreola and Juan Carlos Gomez should be a higher.
Where is Manuel Charr at the very least he fought better competition (Vitali aside) and beat most of them ;) than Deontay Wilder and Ortiz. Gbenka Oloukun then unbeaten, Sherman Williams and not a shot version of Beck are all solid wins.

A case can be made for Cedric Boswell IMO unless he announced his retirement anybody agree?

    Good list overall :good.

Agreed, Adamek looked like garbage against Chambers back in June. Haye looked good against Chisora in July.

K bros block out the sum so much the rankings don't even matter anymore. No matter who gets ranked at the top of the division, I just can't see anybody doin **** with either one of em, barring anotha injury retirement from VK since he old as hell now.
