Certainly was not your point let's be honest with each other here.
I'm absolutely fine with having mine bashed, that's why I'm on a forum, to bash others aswell. Especially when they're just a bit mad, like yours.
Several of your opinions in there, as I pointed out are far far less common than any of mine. Patterson is in at 10, there could be any number of people in there. The differences you'll see there would be huge from person to person. Having Liston at 3 however, is just insane. In a top 5 like .
Why are you talking about common opinions anyway? An opinion is self made, if yours come from seeing what others think then maybe that's your problem, think for yourself (although Liston at 3 would show you probably do, just badly). If common opinions matter to you, then this thread must be a hurtful one for you. Look at how many people disagree with you.

My top 10 is firmly in the minority? Ok. Can I ask what that proves? (Even though that's probably very untrue.
Flat earthers definitely believe Sonny Liston is a top 5 heavyweight, and put Joe Louis at 2 because they don't know who he was but everyone else has him at 1.
The earth isn't flat man, I'm sorry to tell you

What are you going on about mate? You wanna talk about how many people disagree with me? Everybody disagrees with you. Not one person on this thread other than yourself have Patterson in their top ten. Not one!

Yeah. Ignore history and those who saw him. DEMPSEY could knockout any other Heavyweight Champion in history. Most quickly. I'd bet the house he would KO protected, weakchinned, nonconfident Patterson in 1. He'd jump on Floyd like a tiger on a bunny. All the historians in history are wrong and you're right? No!

Just to be clear, what you're saying is that all historians say that Dempsey is the best? Are you absolutely sure?

Mate you have Ali down at 6, with Joe Frazier above him, Johnson at 3 and more hahaha its humorous, but have a day off

And this is based upon his opponents and the results against them?

I suppose there is no gulf in quality between a 37 year old twice-retired Willard, a lightheavy Eurofraud and a hapless Firpo and the top contenders who followed?

Again, if we can say things such as that Dempsey would or would likely KO any other champ in history based on his record then we damn sure have to say the same things about Liston, Marciano, Wlad... and even Wilder... and many others.

Having read it again, you also have Jeffries in your top 10, have left out Lewis, Holyfield and Tyson, and have even rated Gene Tunney as a heavyweight.
Do you even really like boxing?

Well, how about producing an argument that is at least remotely convincing. Because your opiniom, precious as it is, doesn't amount to much.

So, the case was all but closed in 1928 and only one more was let in after... and that was 40 years ago.

You do realize that Wlad Klitschko controlled the division for about 8% of its existence under MDQ rules, correct?

You do realize that objectively comparing Lennox Lewis' heavyweight opponents to Tunney's, Dempsey's or Johnson's causes fits of laughter dangerous to one's health.

If people don't stop calling Gene Tunney a heavyweight I'm going to pull a muscle through cringing

HEY, there is no room on a public forum for you to be telling us what you do with your sphincter. Sicky.. whatever. I am sure you pulled Patterson for the top ten out of your arse when it unclenched MATE.
