Well, okay, but still where do you have him compared to Marshall? Above? Below? How far apart roughly?

You actually don't know anything about Hostak or Apostoli do you. Your post illustrates that emphatically.
You said Mills was a career lightweight!
It's blatantly obvious that you know nothing about either Hostak or Apostoli.
    Telling you that Hostak beat:
    Baby Joe Gans
    Babe Risko
    Freddie Steele
    Glen Lee
    Steve Belloise
    Anton Raadik
    And that Apostoli beat
    Georgie Abrams
    Melio Bettina
    Glen Lee
    Young Corbett111
    Freddie Steele
    Marcel Thil
    Solly Krieger
    Lou Brouilard
Means nothing to you as well, because you know nothing about them either!
You said Farr was a novice when he fought Marshall when he had actually had 120 fights!
You also said Walcott was a novice when he lost to Maxim, yet he weighed 192lbs and was the number 3 ranked heavyweight that year!
Maxim is mainly known for beating Robinson?
    He also beat
    Floyd Patterson
    Jersey Joe Walcott
    Gus Lesnevich
    Ollie Tandberg
    Freddie Mills
    Curtis Sheppard
    Red Burman
    Lee Oma
    Nate Bolden
    Bob Murphy
    Danny Nardico
    Jimmy Bivins
That's another 4 world champions and 8 ranked contenders!
Johnny Risko was a lightheavyweight contender? When would that be ? He weighed 190lbs at the age of 22!lol
Marshalls best weight was in the low 160's yet he beat a career heavyweight who was good enough to go 15rds with Joe Louis and give him a competitive fight!
See how stupid you continually make yourself?

The only world class boxer Marshall beat was Jake Lamotta ,that is your statement.
I'm very pleased you have stated this, there is nothing like a cretin displaying his own lack of intelligence for your entertainment.

Here are Marshall's most prominent victims.

    Tommy Farr
    Freddie Mills
    Ken Overlin
    Bob Dunlap
    Jake Lamotta
    Joey Maxim
    Jack Chase
    Johnny Romero
    Ezzard Charles
    Curtis Sheppard
    Charley Burley
    Shorty Hogue
    Babe Risko
    Anton Christoforidis
    Teddy Yarosz
    Lou Brouillard
    Nate Bolden
    Fitzie Fitzpatrick
    Holman Williams

According to you," only Lamotta was world class."
You are without doubt the most ignorant and stupid poster this forum has ever been saddled with.
It gave me great pleasure to expose your ignorance with my Grigorian thread.I could have made one saying .
"Was Lloyd Marshall A Second Tier Fighter.Rasta Silly Bollocks Says So" But the answer is so obviously no, there was no need to do so.
Keep posting your ridiculous and outlandish dross it is occasionally amusing if never informative, except as an insight into a severely limited and damaged mind.

    If," ignorance is bliss."
You must be in a constant state of euphoria!:aaaaa:

it's to hard to make a list cos of the time dimensions.
    1. Ali
    2. Holmes

    Is certain in my book.

Think Marciano is way underrated cos of his small size... the guy was a freak of nature... You have to consider Foreman. And Tyson was also very good for short period.

    Lewis,Wlad,vitaly,witherspoon are worth mentions.

"Comebacks" also throw the list out of whack. Tyson would have been on most people's list until he cameback and stuck around long after his prime. Foreman cameback and moved up on many people's list winning the HW title when he did. Holmes is another one that kind of tanked out later in his career effecting his status.

Marciano left at the top of his game, which is one reason many don't rate him highly.

So if he had stayed around into his late 30's and lost a few, he would be rated higher?

What wins does Grigorian have to compare to:
    Lamotta
    Yarosz
    Burley
    Charles
    Chase
    Williams
    Maxim
    Mills
    ???????
Six of Marshall's defeats came after the age of 35 when he, a natural middleweight was fighting light heavies.

Marshall had 99 fights, for a few of which he is believed to have gone into the tank, his record is
    70-25-4

Grigorian had only 39 bouts so it isn't surprising he doesn't have the losses Grigorian has!
Grigorian features in the Ring's top 100 fighters for three years .
    2001=79
    2002=85
    2003=88
Marshall has wins over 8 Hall of Famers and was inducted himself in 2010.
    Grigorian none.

Grigorian only held the WBO title and his defences were against nobodies for the most part, only three of his challengers were ever Ring ranked and then not when he fought them.In his years as an active fighter he never ranked higher than79th in the Ring's top hundred and was only featured for 3 years. He was a protected fighter who defended against journeymen.
