    How does he stop Johnson?
    Sit on him?

hitting his face without gloves... plain and simple.
carnera was too big and too strong for jonhson under this ruleset. jonhson weighed 195 pounds and carnera was a monster of 260-284 pounds of pure muscle(nothing like the body of willard), of course he had much more physical strength and hitting power, without gloves carnera might kill anyone. jonhson is the better fighter, he would beat carnera fighting with gloves but i think that primo would have great chance to win this match without gloves.

Carnera was not a stiff, he was actually a decent athlete with a lot of heart and surprising stamina for one his size. While not a great boxer, he was was a huge man, with giant hands, arms, legs, and torso. Carnera took a great body shot. It was the head shots he had trouble with,

Johnson, who liked to clinch inside would get warn down, and pushed around.

These are London rules here. Carnera would have the edge.

if Johnson gets the nod then this whole tournament becomes a joke.
A joke in which the more popular champions gets the nod regardless of his skills and disadvantages.
I think i could predict by now that the finalists will be Ali and Louis or Marciano.
    .

I really don't see how could Johnons beat a beast like Carnera under this set of rules.
It's almost similar to the hardest puncher thread in the boxing forum, where guys like Louis, Johnson and Marciano where rated as harder punchers then the Klits or Lewis.

Louis does hit harder than either Klit, and probably as hard as Lewis though.

are you aware that Wlad has probably the most powerful right hand in HW division, and by Steward account, more powerful then Lewis's?

Emmanuel Steward says all sorts of ridiculous ****, especially these days.

 at "are you aware" like it's a statement of some sort of fact, also

oliver mccall faced lewis and he said that buster douglas, bert cooper and tyson were harder punchers than lewis. holyfield faced tyson, bowe, lewis, cooper, tua (sparring) and he said that old foreman (not even prime) was by far the hardest puncher that he faced. wladimir is not even close to be the hardest puncher(right hand or left hand). it is shavers, foreman, liston, baer

Johnson scaled 208lbs at his best.
Carnera never scaled over 276lbs and weighed 270 when ,past his best 187lbs Tommy Loughran took him the distance.
CARNERA WAS NOT A PUNCHER, have a look at the guys who refused to lay down ,and went the distance with him.
Joe Louis handled Carnera easily ,even lifting him up and pushing him around I believe Johnson was stronger than Louis, and better in side.
Carnera could not bang wuih Johnson, with, or wihout gloves ,plus he did not take a great shot.
