What if all the Queensberry Rules Linear Heavyweight World Champions had fought each other (in their prime) under London Prize fighting Rules? Let us say each fighter gets six months training to learn the art of bare knuckle fighting before the competition begins. Obviously one or two of these fighters has fought under London Prize so you may feel they have an advantage. The draw was done on (total) length of reign (in years), with the tie breaker being listed alphabetically. There were 35 generally recognized Linear Champs, so for all those who reigned for less than a year, I listed them on their actual length of reign thus, the bottom six, need to go though a preliminary round, to get to the main draw. I will only vote, to break a tie, once the poll has closed. To avoid clogging up the board, I will only list four contests at a time, with a 48 hour time limit for people to vote.
It is almost impossible to give a valid prediction here. Hart would probably have a less steep learning curve. There is a clear qualatative advantage in favour of Ali and he is almost certainly much stronger. On the other hand Ali had hand problems. I say Ali, but I don't have a clue.
I am with Ali here. I think he would be the most underated fighter under this rules set. A great jab, doesnt sit on his punches, meaning less hand problems, great movement, A chin, that makes it near impossible to ko in 10 secs, let alone 30 seconds. I dont see what Hart can possibly bring to the table against Ali, he is worn down quite early and as game as he would be, Ali would be a nightmare to face and i see Marvin taking a knee quite a lot. There is no wearing ali out though and when Ali does sit down on his punches, Hart will not come back. I see Ali winning quite comfortably.
