How is it 'basically ufc'? The guys involved have not been beyond 4 or 6 round fights so far, so 3 rounds is perfectly reasonable.

Is it the fighting more than one bout in one night that you object to?

only thing bothers me about this is that its 3 rounds...why not 4...
would i be right in saying that 4 rounds is still the minimum for pro boxers?...so..are these guys pros and if they are do the fights go on thier pro records??

Dunno about four round minimum. The fights have been sanctioned by the BBBC, and their rules say that 'no contest shall exceed 12 rounds nor be less than 8 minutes of actual boxing'.

I assume that the reason that three rounds has been used rather than four is that the finalists will potentially fight up to nine rounds during the evening and none of the contestants has previously done more than six rounds.
