Well, I don't see Dempsey stopping Valuev at all.

By my rules in a fantasy matchup, we do 15 rounds, and each era gets their own perks.

Old fighters get to wear their old school gloves.

Our fighters get their training benefits and the ability to study footage.

Now, Dempsey never faced Wills, and was outboxed by Tunney. I'm a massive Dempsey fan (how could you not be) but the fact is he's pretty sloppy on film.

Though he has some nice little nuances, I see him as an innovator. The way he cuts down the ring and moves in and out of range, firing flurries and then of course being a deadly finisher, I don't feel he was a puncher like say, Joe Louis.

Against Valuev, he'd be hard pressed to land head shots on a man that has shown a good chin and fast hands and a snappy jab for at least a few rounds, and who is also going to lean on Dempsey when he comes in and knacker the man out, he is a physical behemoth even Carnera couldn't be summoned from around Dempsey's time to give him a clue about what he would be facing.

There is no knockout here. Dempsey looks much better and his frustrations make him press more and he outlands Valuev, wherever he lands on him, all over his arms chest and landing on his chin but not coming close to dropping him.

In Germany, Valuev wins on points.

With neutral Judges, Dempsey by Wide Decision, 11-4 something like that.

dempsey would absolutly destroy the hairy giant ,i agree that dempsey did not have the 1 shot power of the rock or maybe lois but his power was still awsome and that the shots came 2-3-6 shots at a time is really dangerous for any man, like sharkey said (wherever dempsey hit you-he hurt you) sharkey also said if you put dempsey and louis in a phone booth dempsey would walkout-when asked what the differences in fighting dempsey and louis was he said(louis would hit you and ask if u were ok dempsey would hit u and ask why u wernt dead yet).im not trying to make this louis vs dempsey thread just expressing the ferocity dempsey would unlesh on the plodding giant-it wouldnt be pretty

Dempsey kills him. Valuev can take a good shot and that would mean that he'd soak up a terrible beating, if the ref is from 1920 Valuev literally might die.

Dempsey. I'm convinced that he's got the speed & head movement to deal with Valuev's jab and reach, and I think he'll get in close enough to to land with vicious left hooks and combinations that will see the giant fall.

Dempsey and it's not even close. Valuev has never felt the power of Jack Dempsey and he would be lucky to make it to the 4th round. Not even close.

Not much to analyze here, Dempsey wins by stoppage after he buries his fist through Valuev's chest and rips out his heart. That said, TKO 2.

Valuev has no power ,Willard could hit ,with nothing to fear Dempsey has target practise.
Dempsey broke the jaw of 7 foot 2in 320lbs Big Ben Wray , in two places he did it in 25 seconds with one punch.
