London, England is the site for this Heavyweight Doubleheader. England's own Henry Cooper will be facing Australia's Les Darcy. And Oscar Bonavena will be going against bigman Primo Carnera. Carnera comes out & is moving well, scoring behind the jab. Bonavena is going strong to the body. Primo is taking this well & is piling up the points. In the sixth Oscar switches his attack to the head & is scoring better. Carnera is ataggered in the eighth! He recovers & is hurt again in the ninth! The tenth has Primo in real trouble, as Bonavena drops him twice! The final assault has the referee jump in to save Primo from further abuse!! OSCAR BONAVENA . 10 TKO. PRIMO CARNERA Darcy is throwing furious punches, trying to overwhelm Cooper from the onset. Cooper moves well & scores with his own punches. Darcy settles in and starts to score his own punches in the mid rounds. Cooper lands a hard left hook in the seventh! Darcy wobbles & but shortly recovers.
