This is it the Semi Final match. The Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko, sweeping through the tournament. Is now in for a tough test in Brockton's own Rocky Marciano.
Klitschko has made it this far by defeating, Bob Fitzsimmons, Tommy Burns, & James J. Corbett. Marciano has reached this level by defeating Gerrie Coetzee, Andrew Golota & a tough Match with Gene Tunney.

    Semi Final Round. 15 Rounds.

Legacies and head to head matchups are two totally different animals.

Draw your own conclusions on what my answer would look like based on the above statement.

Legacies and head to head matchups are two totally different animals mainly in that the former require you to prove it in the ring while the latter somtimes get handed to you on a plate.

    Marciano TKO 14.

I'm not sure, it depends how well a 190lb Rocky, takes continual arm punches from a 240lb Vitali who even though he arm punches does sit on his shots when he feels his opponent is weaker, and a 240lb athlete sitting on his shots against a 180lb man could spell an early KO.

I would want Maricano to KTFO Vitali, but just cant see him getting past the jab and 1-2 and his chances of taking those punches are also suspect

Vitali wins this and Rocky doesn't see the the final bell. Come on.

Come on what? Rocky was never stopped and Vitali wins fights by controlling range and tempo. Can he control both against Rocky? If he doesn't what will happen? How much does 60lbs matter? I think it's a close fight.

I pick Vitali to close the show very, very late, maybe in the last few minutes. An exhausted, bloody Rocky gets ditched and rises but the referee feels he is to far away to be allowed to continue.

    Klitschko TKO15 Marciano.

Usually i agree w/ you but not this time. Rocky beats the living **** out of Vitali and puts him down in 7. This is no fatass, cowed MexicanAmerican or Nigerian (you know who i mean, I can't remeber their names) :rastahe's fighting, this is probably the most in shape fighter the heavies eversaw.

I dont think Vitali can keep up the pace after a good start and ahead on all the cards up to the 8th rd. The pace and the pressure leave Vitali breathing hard along with the diffculty of landing anything of real value on the low croching Rocky. Rocky suprises Vitali with a few awkward punches and steady body attack but it is the pace that gets to Vitali Rocky by Tko 14,Vitali ahead 8-5 but Vitali takes a bad shellacking in the later rounds

Let's see. Vitlai has about 65 pounds, 10" in height, and 13" in reach and Vitali knows how and when to use his physical advantages. In addition to this he has the best chin of any of Marciano's title opponents, and likely hits the hardest as well. Rocky had trouble with good boxers, and was open for counters, which is something Vitali does well. Vitali TKO in 9.
