Semi Final Match, Wladimir Klitschko facing off against the "Manassa Mauler" Jack Dempsey. Klitschko reaches this level by defeating, Gerry Cooney, James J. Jefferies & Gene Tunney. & looks primmed and ready to go. Jack Dempsey got to the Semi Final's by defeating, Nicalai Valuev, Max Schmelling & Oscar Bonavena.

    Semi Final Round. 15 Rounds.

Willard and Toledo again. Wlad might try staying away for a few more rounds, but he'd get clobbered at some point by Jack and not recover.

Dempsey had a bad style for Vlad but Vlad was a sharper puncher than Willard and a better defensive fighter and I do not think anyone saw that modern Version of a Jab that Vlads posesses....The intangables belong to Dempsey but he could also get caught by a Vlad Rocket....That being said if Dempsey does not get to Vlad by the 8th I see a UD over 10 or 12 for Vlad in a cautious fight on Vlad's part but Dempsey's two fisted power would always be a factor.

Dempsey re-defeats Wlad, possibly in more dominant manner than Sullivan did.

dempsey needs to win by the 6th or wlads size and jab may well be the telling factors in this fight.

but i will go with dempsey here by the 5th wlad looks startled when opponents aggressivly attack and he has never fought anyone that will explode on him like dempsey would i think that the constant pressure applied by dempsey coupled with his punching power would unerve wlad so much that his defence would be less effective than many would think

    just a point of view

I don't like the way Wlad panics under pressure, a tigerish, aggressive, bob and weaver like Dempsey who had two fisted power gives him palpitations imo.Jack by mid rounds ko.

Dempsey all day. I like him early. I'll go for a TKO in 3.

Including exhibitions (and back then exh. were just fights without being called fights) Dempsey had 60 1 rd. ko's Dempsey was praised constantly in the first half of the 20th century for being maybe the fastest Heavy ever. His speed and power ko's Wlad in 1, just like the fatasanders did in 2. By the way, why do you think Vitaly wants to fight haye so much before wlad can fight him? Because Haye has speed and power just like corrie did. He needs to protect his glasschinned brother from a punch he will not see or be able to take. The Mauler in 1 and Vitaly goes in 3. Theyv'e never seen the speed and fury of the great Dempsey. :rasta

    I agree with this assessment.

I think Dempsey is a survivor. Too hard, too tough. He lunges in and catches Wlad. That's the end of Wlad. And it only takes one time. Wlad's hard, accurate, and long jab keep Dempsey at pay and weaving away on the defense. But eventually Dempsey gets to him. Wlad can very well win, with his jab and technical skills. But if he panicked against and lost and Sanders and Brewster, than I'll favor one of the fastest pressure puncher type fighter. Dempsey TKO from round 5-7.

    Wlad KO 3.

Those 188 pounders offer so many problems for a superheavy with the skill set of Wlad.

Dempsey way too fast and hard hitting ... Fred Fulton all over again ... Wlad would do much better against bigger slower guys ... here the speed would be to much ..
