Which heavyweights have the best bodyshots today? Ugonoh and Dillian Whyte spring to mind, AJ is great too and Chisora. Who you got??
i don't rate Whyte but he does go to the body well admittedly. i definitely wouldn't call AJ a 'great' body puncher though
Probably not AJ's forte but he can clock in a solid body punches from what Ive seen. As for Dillian, I observe every facial reaction of his opponents when they catch a body blow from Dillian, and they definitely feel it. Some of them try to mask the pain, or throw one back immediately out of frustration and anger. So Dillian is high up there deservedly as the 'Body Snatcher' the Malcolm Tann fight was textbook. Ugonoh has perfect execution on his body shots... so natural and fluid.
1. Vlad Sirenko 2. Whyte 3. Nathan Gorman 4. Izu Ugonoh 5. Joe Joyce Worth mentioning is Breazeale and Parker very underrated body puncher to. Joshua is just strong all around , not sure if he dogs in like these guys per punch.
It's just that he rarely throws body shots to me. As i said, not a big fan of Whyte, but i agree, they look powerful, he digs them in well, and there is usually a reaction from opponents. Ugonoh i also agree with
the noise that comes from Sirenko's body shots is sickening and they look good, but he's only done it against quite poor opponents, can he really be at No.1?
I would think so...you won't see many body shot knock outs it's a rarity in the sport compared to head shots ...t in boxing you usually go by sound and facial expressions of opponents in determining body shot significance. Sirenko has great technique and heavy hands just as much as anyone I listed.
i don't disagree with anything you've said, it's just that without even a slight test on his record, i'd be hesitant of putting him at No.1, but tbf, that's just my opinion.
Flip a coin between Dillian Whyte and Jarrel Miller. Whyte has the most stinging body shots. Miller is a very underrated body puncher, his body shots are just plain beat em up heavy and draining.
Body shots don't lie, unlike head shots they are solid huge targets like a punching bag, you don't roll body shots you take them solid 90% of the time. I can walk into a gym and crack any heavy bag they have, say a 150 pounder with body punching at the hardest part of the bag. if I dent that bag is anyone going to question my power if they just put that bag up brand new? I wouldn't have to prove denting another one, punching power and impact is what it is. There's no doubt Sirenko holds the top spot based on body punching from my view. I think he'll be the hardest puncher all around...well see.
