I am just asking is it possible to have a top HW near the Top of the P4P? Have there been some? Who where they? Ty for answers, bierjunge
there does seem to be a huge bias against it. in their primes tyson and holyfield were at or near the top of p4p lists. in 1997 holy was top 5 i believe and in 88 tyson i think was number 1. as he should have been going farther back it wasn't so odd for heavies to be near the top but it's difficult to see it now. lewis was the last heavy i know of in the consensus top 10 and he was typically at the bottom wlad deserves a top 10 ranking and for me, transplanting his record, reign, skills and especially dominance into the body of a boxer in another weight class gives me an idea where he should be placed. if someone at 154 was doing what he's doing, would he get a spot? **** yeah. so that means so should wlad
I don't think the Klits should be on there. Their boxing skills aren't good enough, only champions due to size and reach.
but that can't be said for certain and it's kind of irrelevant. floyd is only a champion cause of his speed, pavlik only a champ cause of his power. physical qualities are part of greatness otherwise anyone with the skills would be a champion.
It looks like a unwritten rule in boxing that you have to totally dominate the HW division to be in the P4P list, and for lighter weights you just have to be a great champion. :huh
Thats why they are not there. atsch Because people like you think that a 6'5 Mayweather would be as fuild as he is at 147...
well that's one opinion. don't know how many fights of their's you've seen but i respectfully disagree
Well I think Wlad is top 10 P4P according to Ring. Historically, Lewis probably was always top 20. I think Tyson was ranked number 1 at one point. Its kinda hard to judge Heavyweights because at their size the game changes quite a bit, the skills are usually less defined and more reliance on power.
