Does anyone remember who the announcers were for Ali vs Norton 3 from Yankee Stadium? One of them was very fond of Ali, and sounded a lot like George Foreman?

So it's good for you to make a baseless claim and say you don't have time to back it up. But somehow I should waste time to prove something that you can find for yourself that is actually irrelevant to the larger point anyway? Lol, you are literally laughably stupid and hypocritical. Only in Dino land.

I wouldn't pick modern Cruiserweights over modern Heavyweights, so no, I'm not going to pick "Golden Age" heavies over them, either.

There's exceptions and all, but not enough to override that principle. The division wouldn't even exist if the smaller heavyweights were better than the big ones overall.

How many HW fights do you get per year? There used be HW fights on constantly every month , every week.
You brought up the claim that there are more fighters today then yesterday , not me. You have no proof to that claim . Absolutely NONE.
So what are you basing this claim off?

Lol. Stupidity that just doesn't quit. No, I said the TALENT pool is bigger than before, not that there were more fighters dumbass. You must have assumed I said that because you are too stupid to understand that they are different concepts.

You said exactly that in the Jennings vs Ali thread. I corrected you and you have since dropped that claim. Good man.

Lol. Stupidity that never stops. We were talking about this thread, not one from days ago. And I never dropped the "claim". There are more fighters. Go to boxrec if you want to research it. But you are the one who brought it up on this thread. And it is secondary at best to the overall point.

Tell me Dino, how do records get broken in tangible sports that have lower participation levels than in the past?

So which is it? There are more boxers now or there were more in the past?

Lol. You act like I've changed my mind. I've always said there are more now than before. It's just not a critical piece of evidence. And you brought up the opposite argument on this thread first.

You are truly psychotic. Im actually kind of eager to see what new irrelevancy you come up with to rage against logic.

What must it be like to be in Dino's little world? Where everyone has an agenda and everything is a conspiracy. Where logic doesn't apply, and only what you believe matters. I love how you say I'm a ktard, yet I think Fury would probably always beat Wlad, and may even beat Vitali. That I hate old timers, and yet I think no one will ever match Ali and Louis s legacy. It's so amusing to see Dino strain to fit me into an agenda box, because his little mind can't comprehend a world where that isn't a necessity.

Do you know how many there were at one time in the past? There are 1,297 boxers currently active right now in the heavyweight division on Boxrec.

Shavers would be a Cruiserweight today, and not even a particularly good one. He was an extremely up and down fighter.

Shavers was 211 lbs. when he fought Ali, as was about average size for a HW back then. So would Frazier have been a CW for a good chunk of his career, as well as and many others like Norton, Patterson, Quarry, etc. Are you saying Frazier, Norton, Patterson etc., aren't real HW champions because they invented a Cruiserweight division 30 years ago?

What I'm saying is that if Shavers were to fight today with his dimensions he'd likely fight at a lower division to minimise his disadvantages. As would the rest of those fighters you mentioned.

I'm making no disputes about their quality as HW champions of their time, but times change.

    That doesn't make any sense.
