Chuvalo was actually down twice vs Bonavena. Both were ruled a slip, so officially he wasn't down. However, if you look at the slow-mo replay, one of them was a solid left hook to the jaw that stumbled Chuvalo and momentarily had him off his feet. It was also a tricky balance situation, but nevertheless, a punch landed and he went down. Still, one heck of a beard on that man, and still as charismatic as ever at 65 years of age.

He's been down twice, but I'm throwing a shout out for Marion Wilson. Dude went 12-41-4, fought almost every big puncher in the 90's and early 00's (McCall, Peter, Thompson, Thunder, Rahman, Maskaev, Sellers, Sanders, Ibeabuchi, Sullivan, Briggs, Golota, Mercer, Bean, Biggs, Botha, etc.) and never left the ring other than on his feet and was knocked down only twice despite a bad habit of blocking punches with his face. Legendary beard who never gets due recognition.

also he was down once against Jade Scott...so that would make three total for his career
