Worst career move ever. Dropping all that weight late into your career. Not sure why he didn't just drop to CW. Sure more marquee fights at LHW but it would have been a lot more realistic at that stage.
Lack of key nutrients such as; B12, B3, heme iron and DHA(essential omega3). Also those who are mostly plant based have shown to be lacking in creatine and carnosine, which are important for many things including muscle building. And vegans also often have their omega 3 to 6 ratios way off. Meaning lots of inflammation that can lead to chronic inflammation and a **** ton of diseases(cancer, arthritis, metabolic syndrome). Overall veganism has been shown to decrease performance and increase likelihood of injuries.
Right, I must be a unique case then because I have had no injures, I have made excellent gains past year despite not being a newbie, and I've taken two full months off and retained all muscle. I have also had 12 blood profiles in the past year, and not lacking in anything out of the ordinary. I agree veganism is not perfect, there has to be a balance... but it gives you the majority of the stuff you need.... brown rice for vitamin B complex... Omega 6 is the unhealthy one, omega 3 from avacado's. I don't believe vegan has affected my gym performance at all. Your blood type can be traced to migrations of early ancestors who switched from being hunter gatheres, meat eaters, to cultivating grains and harvesting plant based alternatives... For me I am A positive, so that matches more plant based foods, and less meat products.
Just eat lentils, chickpeas, beans, nuts and soya for protein and also protein shakes if you want to. This will easily replace the meat in your diet.
Why do you think so? I've never tried almond milk and I'm not much into nuts, because I find them rather difficult to digest, but they're not poison. Maybe they're fine for a guy with extremely high metabolism like Tyson.
Btw, I forgot to mention that it usually takes time before those deficiencies develop. And plants are poor in bio-availability and full of anti-nutrients. Give it some time and you will see your health starting to decline. Happens a lot. 5-10 year vegans turning to fish and eggs because their health has slowly gone downwards.
Sorry, but that sounds like complete bull**** to me. https://www.health.harvard.edu/newsletter_article/No-need-to-avoid-healthy-omega-6-fats But I completely agree that it's better to avoid commercial "almond milk" completely.
I know it sounds corny as **** to say this, but when it comes to nutrition - Harvard is bias as ****(they love veganism). And i can't read the article... But the problem is not with omega 6 itself, it's the fact that plant foods are high in omega 6. This leads to imbalances. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12442909 More on the nuts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytic_acid https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/phytic-acid-101
Often looks more Brutal as there's a deep pool of cruiser weights.Don't know much about Furys next opponent but being 25/0 at HW doesn't mean all that !such in terms of facing anyone.
I noted it before in an earlier post, but Heavyweight Orlin Norris won the NABF title and beat name heavyweights such as Renaldo Snipes, Jesse Ferguson, Greg Page and Tony Tubbs before losing to Bert Cooper. After some more wins at heavyweight (including future WBC Champ Oliver McCall!), Norris dropped down to Cruiser and first won the NABF title and then the vacant WBA Cruiserweight Championship where he proceeded to defend it successfully six times. After losing the title by TKO to Nate Miller, Norris moved back up to heavyweight and had mixed results, although he did have wins over Tony Tucker, prospect Pele Reid and a rematch win over Nate Miller at heavyweight. Kind of an underrated career if you ask me. Perhaps fighting in the shadow of his ultra talented brother, Terry. Also, John Conteh started his career at 17-1 as a heavyweight before dropping to light-heavyweight and first claiming the British, European and Commonwealth titles and finally the WBC title and successfully defending it four times.
