Hector Camacho, Jr.

He was having major trouble with a faded Leija, not much was sqaundered.

 

I believe Camacho Jr could get himself a good fight if he gets with the program and go down to 147 lbs. Probably a fight with one of the top 5 or 8 WW. His lastname will always help him. He could get some money but I don't see him becoming 147lbs champion of any organization.

Now, Chavez Jr. is a different story. I still think he will become world champion. But its about time that happens. Before the kid gets bored and tired. HE has been fighting for a long time. He is only 22. But a boxing carreer is not easy and they can't wait until this kid get tired of going to the gym everyday

 

Camacho JR was a real contender at 140lbs before the Leija fight. Leija's fight took his heart for real. There fighters outthere who once they see their own blood get all freaked out and thats what happened to JR....

But as far as having a heart well he does have a heart because in my eyes anyone who gets in a ring to fight anyone has to have heart.

the only problem he had no heart or desire to box, he wold have all the talent in the world but with the lack of those atributs, no one get's o far in boxing.

 

I can see how my statement could b misintepreted, I should have been more CLEAR. Its not that he doesnt have heart because he's gay(bi, living a lie, whatever) he just doesnt have heart. Of course Griffith had heart thats not tied to ones sexual orientation.

Camacho Jr. sucks and has never pursued a real career. Rather he's lived on meatballs and hasnt even done that impresively at times. Leija was the realest fighter he's faced and the result speaks. As does his half ass career living off daddy's name.

I cant stand Chavez Jr either because he's another guy who's not on his fathers level and hasnt stepped up. But at least he's consistently PURSUING SOMETHING. Plus? I dont think he'd quit or punk out. Eventually he'll take a beating like a man. You cant imagine how it would pain me to pick either man to win, but I have more respect for JCC JR. than Camacho jr.

these guys remind me of rapper kids. there parents pimp them out like mini me's and name can only bring you so far. hell look at jcc jr every fight he dosent look like he wants to be there. At least CJr faced good op better id say compared to JCC jr's ops

 

Camacho never even tried to make weight for the Weiss fight, tried to get out of it, and STILL lost.

Judah was blessed with alot of natural talent, But he doesn't have 1/10th of the heart Lieja does.

 

What other fighters are there currently fighting who had a famous boxing dad?

There's obviously Camacho Jr and Chavez Jr as mentioned, Aaron Pryor Jr, Ronald Hearns, anymore?

 

There's a few, Pipino Cuevas Jr., Carlos DeLeon Jr, Buddy McGirt Jr., Jorge Paez Jr. Chavez has another younger son also fighting. Chazz Witherspoon, Mundine, Also there are a couple of more.

Judah fought with as much heart as Leija has ever shown in the Cotto fight...Cotto layed a first class beating on him and he never stopped trying to knock cotto out


He fought Spinks in the rematch for a 100k !

Leija was a very good and talented fighter and champ. Heart and so much class. Of course the both have tremendous hearts, but the two are not comparable. Leija fought some greats and beat the great Nelson. He would have eventually broke Camacho, Jr. down and I believe Camacho, Jr. knew this. Yes, Camacho, Jr. was winning, but it was very early in the fight and Leija was coming on stronger. Anyway, Leija was great for the sport and his boxing style was tremendous. He also competed in three different weight classes.
