Hector Camacho/Sugar Ray LEonard. Wow!

  1. Both fighters had losses on their records but neither had been KO'd before. It was surreal to see Leonard get pounded like that. He had a five year layoff and unsuccessfully made that comeback.

Ray Leonard wasn't even the same fighter when he fought Hagler. Terry Norris beat his ass and YEARS laters Camacho whooped him. That was a joke from the start. In my book Leonard was a top 3 welter and top 10 middle in his prime years.

Just a horrible illustration of what happens when a fighter is well past their prime and shouldn't be in the ring any longer.

SRL was ancient by boxing standards. Asinine decision to return to the ring after that layoff. He would have Slaughtered Comacho prime for prime.

Both fighters were past prime but Sugar was well past prime, he was old and shot!

Even the past prime version of Sugar that fought Hagler would have killed Camacho.

Sad fight to watch as Sugar should have ended career after Norris where there was no denying that he was badly in need of retirement.
