I don't know much about Camacho, I was just watching him fight Pazienza and it came into my head. How would this play out? They are both two very good counter punchers.

Camachos and Mayweathers "starting" weight was 130, at 140 I think Mayweather carried the weight better but at 130 Camacho would take a lot of beating.

man, i dont know about him beating Mayweather , but after watching the fight versus Pazienza tonight i was thinking , boy !! that if a prime Camacho was fighting with todays boxers he will have been a trouble for many. He was Quick , Slick , Smart and have good Defense.

like you,,, havent seen much from him but quite impressed with his skills at that time.

Im from P.R. and here in the island is a shame he didnt get the respect he deserved. maybe it is because of his style and because he was raise in the states that people here just dont like him.

130 and 135 is a better matchup. Camacho was better then.

Camacho gives PBF all sorts of hell. It's tough to pick Camacho over a resourceful and more mentally strong fighter like Mayweather, but a Camacho decision wouldn't surprise me. At the very least, Camacho gives Mayweather his toughest fight (outside of Castillo 1).

At 140 Floyd wins in dominant fashion.

If Joe Cortez stops Camacho from using his hand behind the move tactic :deal

Otherwise I think Camacho had better handspeed and slightly better defensive prowess then Mayweather...

Watching Vinny reminded me VERY much of a crazier aggressive version of Ricky Hatton...with better handspeed.

But the way they moved and mauled opponents...attacking the body and the head...very Ricky Hatton:yep

Theres more to winning a fight than handspeed. Camacho certainly had better handspeed than Greg Haugen. I am not sure why you think he was better defensively than Mayweather, Camacho was much easier to land cleanly on.
