Cotto by decision, Camacho was crazy fast but I think Cotto out smarts him and out times him, he has enough power to lead an effective charge early on and boss him around for the majority of the rounds, I imagine Camacho touches the canvas at least once early on which sends him in to backwards mode. I think it plays out like the Chavez fight where Camacho was on the back foot the whole time however Comacho will have more moments of success as Cotto has never been a come forward wrecking machine for the entire 12 rnds.

Cotto is a very respectable fighter with talent and a hall of famer .

But he doesn't beat any of the Greats from the past .

He holds his own and wins a few rounds . But that's about it...

haha i'm deadly serious! I like both but I think at 140 Cotto could do enough to keep Camacho from having his way, I doubt the fight would be an exciting one but I think Cotto would tactically win more rounds attacking Camacho and stopping him from being able to come in and out at will. Cotto was better on the inside, throws better combos and hits hard as f*ck at 140! Although Cotto is hittable and is a little chinny he circles guys better then most and creates angles when he comes under heavy fire which shows how adaptable he could be. I just don't see Camacho getting off first and being able to attack Cotto effectively before he starts getting pushed back.

Camacho was noticeably faded at 140 and was never the same fighter after his fight with Chapo. That being said, Camacho still had his otherworldly speed and a granite chin. Cotto is not stopping Camacho, but he can make it competitive. I see the Camacho from 87-90 winning a close, yet comfortable UD.

Camacho isn't a great fighter, a very good HOF bound fighter, but not one of the greats. He was a phenom at Super Featherweight and Lightweight before his fight with Chapo, but he underachieved and is most notable for knocking out a shot Ray Leonard and decisioning a shot Duran twice post his Chavez fight.

I rank Cotto higher in overall legacy, achievements and the Puerto Rican p4p list.

Fair Enough . I can respect that .

BTW im not dismissing Miguel Cotto by any means . Hes always been a warrior in my eyes and that hook of his is a Beauty .

So Cotto vs Camacho at 140 pounds .

What happens in that fight in your opinion ?

A walk in the park for Macho Camacho, maybe even by late stoppage. He'd make Cotto look average in every way.

Im old enough to seen prime Camacho and if he hadnt been such a knucklehead he`d of been even better than he already was. 140lb version although not prime is still a problem for Cotto. I think Camacho out points Cotto in a close fight.

Macho could probably knock him out

Cotto was very chinny at 140

I'd pick Camacho by UD.. Too fast and too slick at 140 for Cotto.

I remember a very early into his career malinaggi give him a very tough fight winning 4 rounds or so

I also remember Corley rocking him in PR

Cotto did have nasty power breaking Malinaggis cheek, re-configuring Abdulayevs face and dislocating Brancos shoulder. He could really bang at 140

Thinking Camacho but I did think Mancini was highly competitive and Cotto fought a similar aggressive style if not more power and polish

Cotto faced the best, beat some names and is a true warrior but Camacho is too much talent for him, would be like the Mosley fight with Camacho being better than Shane.
