None of who can compare with prime Hector Camacho. Robinson was in his 18th year. The rest of the losers are nowhere near the caliber Hector was and that's what separated hector from the rest. And Lloyd was outright shot to lose to a mediocrity like Starling.

True. Kid Gavilan doesn't compare and is no where near the calibre of a prime Camacho.

He's simply LEAGUES above it. :good

I think he is good ,but great he sort of missed the boat. He was never competitive against an all time great who was prime. Hector cannot be close to top 50 ATG. Not even top 200 in my mind. Pernell is top 30.

i think peas defensive wins this. Camachos flurries and speed will give him problems but i can see him getting inside and fighting inside then on the outside going all defensive and not getting hit and popping his jab and getting up close so on and so forth

Okay that's just asinine, not even in the top 200, that's some bull****. He probaly isn't a top 50 ATG but a Top 75 atleast imo. 78 wins only 5 losses, a head to head nightmare at 130 pounds. Beat Bazooka Limon, Jose Luis Ramirez, Edwin Rosario(he won imo), Ray Mancini, Greg Haugan, Vinny Pazienza. How can he not be in the top 200, your an *******.

The prime Camacho is a sick speedy boxer. Gotta go with him by decision. He will outpoint Sweet Pea thru his punch output.

While Hector Camacho is probbly faster than Pernel Whitaker. I fell that Whitaker is the better all around boxer.
It would not surprise me if with his sliightly faster speed Camacho took the first 3 or 4 rounds, but by round 5 or 6 I would expect Whitaker to figure him out and take the rest of the rounds.

Which ironically, will be about 2/3's of Whitaker's output.

When you consider that Limon was pretty washed up and that Mancini was past his prime too, and that he arguably lost to Rosario (I thought he did), and actually went 1-1 with Greg Haugen, it's not that hard to see him outside of the top 100.

A lot of the talk of Camacho's 'greatness' comes down to the PERCEPTION that he had great skills to trouble great fighters, because when it came to PROVING it, he certainly didn't do that. Every time he came up against a great fighter near their prime he got whitewashed.

If we're strictly talking resumes, there are plenty of fighters with better conquests to their credit. Well over a 100 and perhaps arguably 200 as well.
