How good was he in his prime? Can somebody describe his style? And on a side note, whats going on with Mighty Mike Arnatouis?

He was very good. As a young boy I remember him pummeling his opponent till they drop outside the ropes. He was very aggressive in his early years and something must have happened for him to change his style later in his career.

One of the most physically talented fighters ever early in his career. Never KO'd! I think he got messed up by white powder before he got messed up by Rosario.

Camacho at 130 this was his best weight. At his prime in the early eighties he possesed blazing footwork and hand speed. He was a Southpaw who had counter puching skills with decent power. The thing that was otherwordly about Macho was the beautiful footwork and blinding footspeed. At 130 that combo of hand and foot speed along with decent power produced some really impressive victories. Macho seemed to have unlimited potential. He was a stick and move guy, but at 130 he would overwhelm opponents with the speed and was very capable of scoring the spectacular KO

A lack of discipline was his downfall. Bad training habits, the night life and drugs took their toll...the mental aspect of the game were his downfall. Had he trained hard and had that mental aspect of a true Champion down, he likely would have accomplished a lot more. Macho got by on his talent which was immense. He beat some quality opponents and was in with the best, but lost most of the career defining fights of his career. Fights he had the talent to win but not the discipline or lifestyle to allow him to.

Though he had a decent career the promise that he had was never fully realized, but at his best Macho was amazing to watch. A very charismatic and colorful fighter. He was very flamboyant with colorful ring attire and entrances. He could have been so much more but it wasnt meant to be However, Macho had a decent career and he is amazing to watch especially at 130 at the higher weight levels and toward the end he became primarily a runner and slapper. At 130 Amazing but in the end, he could have been so much more.

I would just love to see the Comacho that people rave about. What is on youtube is the older version.

Sweet_scientist has some video but hasn't made it available yet.

82-88 is the classic camacho, his schoolings of howard davis and vinny pazienza are what i want to see.

Im telling you......you will be amazed............ thats the problem with not having been a fan for a long period of time. You have no historical perspective. So last nights welter who seems fast to you is the fastest you have ever seen.

Well Im thankful that we at least have youtube so that you can look for that perspective.

Problem is that if sometimes just leaves you wanting for more, like with Camacho. I keep thinking someone will put something on there from back in the day, but its not happening. When its finaly uploaded, I will be eager to check it out.
