Last I heard he was fighting for Bellator. I'm also surprised none of the bigger orgs have snapped him up.
He was/is so promising, but had a lot of problems getting fights; I seem to think it was because of Visa problems which stem from him being a citizen of Australia and former Cuban. Not sure if any of that is correct, other than him being promising and a former Cuban.
one of my good mates trains with him here in sydney, see if i can find out he fights on alot of local sydney cards, exciting fighter
As said he is with Bellator, allowed to fight elsewhere, but no one seems to want to pick him up. His style is definitely entertaining enough to be in UFC or STRIKEFORCE. I wouldnt mind seeing him against the top guys, just such an explosive athelete.
He is the cfc middleweight champion, my jiujitsu instructor has fought him, Hector is an animal! He recently fought former TUF'er contestant Kalib Starnes and won by TKO in the first round.
I always hoped he would of appeared on TUF, i've seen him fight a few times in AUS he's built like a tank and strong as.
hector is very strong and skilled at what he does and thats basically beat the crap out of you when your on the floor! hes abit of a showman so its a bit disappointing he hasnt made it to the ufc yet just to see what level he is really at...
