Very interesting matchup....I consider this to be Camacho's best weight, and I think alot of people would consider this Nelson's best weight as well......This is pre-Rosario Camacho so there wouldn't be as much running and clinching going on.....I'd still go with Nelson, but I'm interested to see what others think.

Much as i hate to say it i see Camacho outslicking Azumah at this weight - a bad stylistic match for him. Camacho was really something for a short time at 130 and Azumah doesn't quite have the raw power to shut him down enough here IMO.

Nelson would pressure Camacho, thats for sure. He'd only be asking for trouble standing off. While he was a superb puncher, he never had Tyson like power at super-featherweight to knockout Camacho. This fight has distance written all over it. Both guys here are too durable for a KO to happen.

Macho was a blur at 130 suggest you watch the Limon Fight he would blaze through the Professor just too fast at 130.

Nelson was inconsistent at 130, but on his best day there he turns this into a Camacho-Rosario re-run.

Nelson has the explosiveness, the quickness, the power, the chin and the pressuring ability to give Camacho hell.

Make no mistake, we aren't talking about a shop worn Limon or a slow handed Ramirez here.

Will end in a controversial decision imo. Given that I had Rosario beating Camacho, I'll take Nelson here as well.

agree, hes bigger, faster and the more skilled fighter. I see him easily outboxing nelson. I agree with redrooster, that the controversy of the rosario fight is so overrated, i thought hector clearly beat edwin. He won the first 4 rounds with ease, won rounds 8 and 9, and arguably won either rounds 11 or 12, yet people wanna give the fight to rosario just cuz he did so well in rounds 5-7.

Please, the Gomez Nelson beat was still ten times the fighter Limon was at the stage Camacho beat him.

As for laughing at Nelson for losing to Fenech, the joke is on you because anyone that knows anything knows that that Fenech was a monster.

How the hell did he arguably win round 11 when Rosario buckled his legs and almost put him down?

As for the 12th, Camacho did nothing that round other than throw meaningless jabs that didn't land in any case and a few left hands which were caught on gloves. Rosario continued to land the hard clean shots, clearly taking the round.

    I think Camacho wins a easy-ish decision.... 8-4 maybe.

But I would fancy Nelson to turn it round in a rematch; Nelson was as good as anyone (outside of Ray Robinson) in rematches.;)
