I think its important to ask when? Today judges favor power and aggressiveness and focus less on boxing skill. In the 80's Camacho would probably win by decision but in today's world Pac would win. I don't think Pac could knock out a peak Camacho.

a fast, intelligent stylistic boxer like camacho would have had pacquiao so confused it wouldn't have been funny. i believe camacho is vastly underrated just because he lacked knockout power but as a boxer he would have been too slick and smart for pacquiao.

Agreed:good , Prime Camacho too slick for Pacquiao, and Camacho's jab is so underrated

I'd have to say Camacho. Camacho's speed, counter punching ability, and underrated power would be enough to get a W over the Pac-Man.

I think Camacho would have driven Floyd crazy for a few rounds. However, I think Camacho should have fought Whitaker.

I think Manny walks him down. Hector was tough - but tough enough to hang in - not win against the pressure of Pac.

It's true that Comacho had tremendous skill , speed, ability and instinct. His shutout of Jose Luis Ramirez was an almost flawless performance. But some times, like against Edwin Rosario he fizzled in the later rounds . That might make the difference against Pacquiao.

Hector Camacho would have outboxed Manny so bad. They both have hand speed but Hector was too fast with his leg speed. It would have been almost a mismatch. People are giving Manny too much respect because of his last few performances in the ring!!
For one Ricky Hatton had zero defense against a puncher and got blitzed!! Marquez would have knocked out Hatton just as fast or a few rounds later. Floyd Mayweather would have knocked out that version of Hatton very early. Oscar De LaHoya was old, slow, weight-drained and a part time fighter!!!
I am not trying to descredit Manny in any way; but he is not the fighter that most fans and experts thinks he is. For instance, he had two not one; but TWO life and death stuggles against Marquez. The same Marquez that Floyd won every round against!! Marquez won the majority of rounds in both fights against Manny, and yet Mayweather was out for almost 2 years and totally won every single round!!! I don't even think Manny could beat Timothy Bradley or Nate Campbell!! Just calling it as I see it.. He beat an over the hill Morales and Barrera. I want to see him fight a live fighter like he did against Marquez and lost at least one of the fights after knocking Marquez down. If he had fought Oscar at 154lbs like Mayweather did. Then Oscar would have had the strength to win a decision or a knockout... Manny should feel lucky that he is making money and got a big name because he faced a face-first fighter in Hatton; and a weight-drained and old fighter in Oscar nuff said.......
