Flamboyant and cocky, Camacho was a three-time world champion with a record of 79 wins (38 by knockout), 5 losses and 2 draws. He is also remembered for his showy entrances, including his memorable costumes (once as a gladiator, once as Captain America). During his career, Camacho fought some of the sport's best fighters, including Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, and fellow 'Rican Félix Trinidad.

Macho was an amazing boxer in his prime. One of the best southpaws ever. I'd have a hard time picking anyone against him at 130 and even at 135 & 140 he was still a very good fighter.

I hated him for beating up old Leonard but i was young then and the older i got i appreciated his hand speed and boxing abilities.

The first boxing magazaine i ever bought had Camacho Leonard on the cover. If i remember correctly was he dressed like a Gladiator for that entrance?

Great in his prime, one of the fastest ever, faster than Gamboa, Broner, Pac, and Russel put together.
