i have only seen his fights with Napoles he used good lateral movement with a good flicking jab he had fast feet and fast hands and a goodupright boxer, gave an older Napoles abit of trouble early on and was a close fight the 1st one. He got beat bad the second time. been a while since i watched it might watch it again some time
I saw the fight with Stracey, he clearly had seen better days, but was put across as threat by commentator (Harry, I think), who gave Napoles something to think about. Although not in style, he kind of reminded me of Starling in the early/mid 80s in reputation. A very good fighter who would of been champ if it were not for the excellent champions they fought. Although Lewis like Starling both won world titles late in their careers, when they were both probably a little past their best.
He was managed by Ryan O'Neal. A nice, smooth fighter, good movement, quick jab but sometimes there was little power on it. Stracey's strategy of constant, heavy pressure was too much when they fought but he'd have been champ in some eras, most definitely today.
he was trained by Eddie Futch if i remember right and helped out Eddie with fighters for years after words
