Just seen on twitter mark heffron is training with Kevin maree,

And it got me to thinking what's happening with the two brothers?

Both seemed to have bags of talent & mark certainly can fight.
I know he had trouble with the board , though I'm not sure what..
    Anyone any further info?

By the looks of his twitter he keeps in fantastic shape & that coupled with the natural talent he has, I'm confused basically!

Ronnie was meant to fight in December but pulled out because of an injury.

Yeah his corner pulled him out mid-way because of his eye.

That said, Williams looked too sharp and too classy - he's a good fighter and definitely one to keep an eye on !

Yeh I remember the Williams fight - good little dust up!

It's more mark that mystifies me, also noticed box rec have him ranked at #6 super middle - how's that even possible when he's realistically a 9 fight novice with only 2 fights in the last 2years...

I've always thought boxrec to be quite a reliable tool... At least domestically anyway. Any thoughts?

Boxrec is good, but its ranking system is garbage.

Dunno I'd always found it too be quite accurate, I mean take the super middles for example (with exception of heffron as mentioned) the rest of the top 10/15 I couldn't argue with currently.

Just had a look through most weights there domestically & can't find many glaring issues so I'd say is usually spot on.

If I remember....people said Ronnie was lucky to get his decision win over Lochend lad John Thain. I never saw the fight though so can't really comment.

I'm not interested in Ronnie Heffron's career anymore. He's been found out.

So I'm guessing you're one of 'those' that's only interested in fighters who make it to world level or have an '0' otherwise famously known as.... a casual?

No. I just rather support good boxers like Liam Williams.

Heffron is a leisure centre fighter.

Funny thing about boxing, you are allowed to follow more than one fighter.... So that's flawed!

Secondly - you'll find a very large number of fighters who aren't lucky enough to have Hearn or wasabi behind them are 'leisure centre fighters' until they reach a level .... You'd know this if you had a clue!

I follow many boxers but not leisure centre york hall fighters like John Thain or Ronnie Heffron.

Both of those plumbers can't crack an egg.

Heffron and Thain aren't even commonwealth level.

Herron is a prospect, if managed correctly he can go on and take domestic honours, massive if at the minute as he's needing to regularly fight at the level of his last few if he's to achieve.

But to say he is not commonwealth standard is a daft statement to measure a 24year old kid with tbh... He's a prospect, nothing more, nothing less.
