Height and Reach play a role in " striking " distance. A better way to look at reach?

    But if a fighter is taller then his straight line reach will be in line with the shorter fighters head, which is a horrible place to hit, you can hurt your hand. So they have to reach down to the chin.

    Height has advantage in boxing, as normally a taller fighter has longer arms

    Actually, Mendoza, you have not taken into account the differences in fighters bandages and the gloves and the effects on the reach. Surely, chunky bandages is as good as a 2" height advanatge.

    Ah, but since the gloves were lighter in those days, I think modern fighters have even more reach...

    I believe what I said to start this thread is correct.
