read about him in boxing news a while back, seemed very gimmicky,with the snakes and all that.ive never seen him but any report ive read has been less than complimentary

 

I can confirm Greg is definitely a racist. He spoke to me about Budley in a recent phone call.

Said something along the lines of 'some albino wog from South Africa is supposed to be good'. When I exclaimed (in utter disbelief at the lads outburst) but Hekkie was a white Zimbabwean, Greg retorted 'they're all the same over there'.

On a serious note, his opponent is no slouch. Ignore Juanito Rubillar's record; he's world class and always primed up to tip the apple cart. Like a 108lb Emanuel Augustus. Twice went the full monty with a prime Arce (once with prime Pong), and has a nice win over Omar Nino Romero.

This is apparently a rematch of a Majority Decision that Budler won back in February. Isn't the rematch of a close fight in the winner's backyard usually staged in a neutral location? :huh

Anyhow, this will be a good barometer, if he can pull off a more convincing performance against a solid contender like Juanito he might be legit world-level.
