Idk, my only concern is how much Wilder has left in the Tank. Those type of beatings he took from Fury could have taken alot out of Wilder, so fighting a guy like Helenius whos a pretty sound fighter who has looked as good as ever is the right man for the job to show us whats left. Wilder should win this, but i dont think its going to be a walk in the park like others are already suggesting.
Must agree. As i want to Helenius win i cant see Helenius can handle Wilder speed. Helenius is good shape, maybe best ever, but still ill take Wilder KO3..altought Helenius have chance and without TKO//KO i take Helenius win by points.
I get what youre saying but it was the sustained punishment that Wilder took in back to back fights thats a bit of a Worry for me. Helenius is as confident as ever it seems, and Wilder really is the one with all the pressure on his shoulders to look good. I mean they were sparring partners, so im sure they know eachothers movement to a tee. Yeah im pretty excited for this fight myself man, i think its going to be a good fight for as long as it lasts!
That is the unknown factor. If he does lose, it will be down to Fury ruining him, because even 80% Wilder should beat Helenius.
Not necessarily. Wilder has shown that he has the will to survive and come back if put in distress by Helenius. If Bob gets hurt, I'd expect him to be finished off very shortly thereafter. Still, there's a modest degree of intrigue in the fight, with Helenius on a roll and Wilder coming off two hard beatings.
And thats what makes this fight interesting. If this was the Wilder from the 1st Fury, no doubt id think this would be a mismatch, but its not. We'll see.
Helenius is a bit of an enigma in hw boxing, once a huge prospect until an injury and contract dispute forced him into a long lay off. He looked way off it with little cardio when he came back but has slowly got back to being a serious contender despite taking a few losses. I reckon he can win as he now has the conditioning and is punching freely with more than enough pop. We'll see if he can avoid Widers right hand long enough to get his own shots in. If he can it's game on.
It could happen. Wilder s mental state went from being the black superman to getting his ass whooped by a white boy 3x. Anything can happen.
Helenius has a real shot imo. He has deceptive hand speed and good punch variety. He always counters after an opponent attacks and Wilder’s defense is garbage. The longer it goes the more I favor Wilder and Wilder could always land the right early as well and end it, but if he don’t land flush Helenius is going to counter him and with good shots. I could see Helenius with a surprise upset tomorrow. And I can also see him being Breazale’d lol
Duhaupas and Washington beat Helenius, while Wilder destroyed Duhaupas and Washington so he will destroy Helenius as well, Helenius will have to be very lucky to be able to threaten Wilder...
Others will say triangle theories don't work. But you also have to factor in styles. Both Duahupas and Washington tall heavyweights who KO'ed Helenius with right hands. Basically he was KO'ed by 2 guys nothing like Kownacki. People looking at the Kownacki win as a sudden resurgence of form from a 38 year old Helenius when in reality Kownacki wasn't very good and stylistically suited Helenius unlike Wilder who based of the Duhaupas and Washington KO's, should have no problem finding Helenius' chin with his upright, lean back style.
