Still have said nothing of substance. Instead of quoting 20 year old movies, answer why Toney was proven to have done steroids, detrimetnal to his health, expensive, and illegal, if not to give him a massive, unfair advantage. You are stupid.
All I'm saying is that steroids are detrimental to one's health, very expensive and illegal. Please understand this.
Look Peter is quite frankly an underrated fighter. He spent all of 2006-2009 for the most part well out of shape. Even then he was able to record good wins. I have no doubt that if Peter had been in shape he would have beaten the likes of Mccline and Maskaev much more convincingly. People need to remember what guts/chin and power he showed against Wladimir in 2005. They also need to remember how good he looked in the Toney rematch. Whatever you say about Toney at that point in his career he was a successful heavyweight, he beat up Ruiz/Rahman/Holyfield etc. It's hard to say just how good Peter is because of his differing conditions/performance levels over the years.
I want to say something here, I feel it's being overlooked. Steroids are expensive, they are detrimental to your health, they are illegal. Toney only took them because he knew without them John Ruiz would be destroyed and silly. FURTHERMORE, ...I get my boxers at KMART and uh oh...Wapner is DEFINITELY on in 15 minutes! :yikes BOOM! SNV>Ruiz>Lewis>Rahman>Greb>Nunn>Toney>Peter
I just said I wouldn't bet on this fight. Taking into account the only puncher Helenius met was Brewster, who was really shot... and that he is already almost 2:1 favourite I think there is not much value in it.
Thanks! I hope you're right..................... It really sucks that HBO and Showtime are too stupid to know this will be a good fight regardless of who wins.
The TS starter fails to realize that when Toney was caught on steroids the first time it was because he stupidly failed to mention being perscribed medication to heal a muscle tear. No amount of steroids would help Toney be competitive at HW if he didn't have the skills and intangibles. He has ATG skills and instincts as a fighter which explains why he can still, be competitives while being so overweight. I know you're gonna repeat the same thing over and over again like none of us know what steroids are and their effect. Oh btw, I've been following Helenius and was not overly impressed by his win over a shot Brewster. Sam is not shot unless he proves to be so in his fight with Helenius. He has been matched very smart because he is still raw and needs more experience. If Peter still proves to be dangerous and Helenius beats him impressively(and the way to do that is either shut him out by decision or even better, stop him sooner than either Klitschko brother did) then I'll be impressed. If he struggles to a win then he needs more careful matchmaking to improve with.
I wouldn't bet on this fight. Too close to call. We don't know if Peter is still shell shocked from his losses to the Klitschkos or whether Helenius is really good enough, especially at this early stage. These are really the best fights though, too bad HBO & Showtime are too ignorant to televise serious fights like this one. I hope it's a great fight, along the lines of Liakovich vs. Brewster, and that both networks are sorry they missed out.
Should be watchable live and for free legally at the German TV station's website www.daserste.de -- I just checked and they allow IPs outside of Germany as well.
Helenius is most likely going to dominate him. I'd love to see an upset, though. I kinda like Peter after the way he clowned Toney in the 2nd fight.
This is delusional. Both times he was discovered on the roids, his career took a dive. He was too small. old and out of shape to apply his "skills" without roids.
Ok I'm not even going to argue with you on that because it doesn't make sense to me. I don't see how 'roids' can all the sudden give you skills(which you seem to be saying aren't real skills but whatever) he possesses. Last time I checked I never saw any roided up athletes stepping into a ring and being able to use shoulder rolls and throw the inside combinations that he does. Explain how roids would help him when he's not outmuscling opponents and standing in the pocket like he always had throughout his career(but at HW and higher weights he was much more stationary which should have got him killed against the heavies he fought) So you're saying if you juiced you could fight just like him because it's the roids, the whole roids, and nothing but the roids right? Oh and damn you Peter coming in at 260! I hope Helenius punishes the slow plodding heavybag that you'll be in the ring tomorrow......Sam better hope he catches him and it does something or else he's taking a beating.
