If Helenius is staying healthy and keep progressing, he is going to be dangerous opponet to Wlad. He is 6'6½ 250 lbs and stronger than ever. 170kgx4 in bench press and 210kgx5 in deadlift. He has good skills, heavy hands and accurate punches, iron chin and beard advantage. Now he is training in Finland with new team, and they've made him better than ever. Helenius will beat Wlad in 2016, if Wlad wants to fight him.

    Stop making threads fool.

Iron chin? He was hurt by shot to **** Sherman Williams and Sprott. Wlad beats him easily.

He beat a tomato can in his last fight.

He took a perfectly FLUSH shot from Tank who has no shortage of stopping pwoer, particularly if he's able to reach the chin.

Helenius DOES have an iron chin, but your'e correct that this fight vs a relative unknown journeyman isnt an adequate gauge of his power or if he's even 80% of the guy who blew away Brewster, Gammer, Bydenko, Liakovich, Peter, Toney and Levin when he was healthy.

He should call on Owen Beck for a quick return, get a few rds in, and get in better PHYSICAL shape. I finally see some muscle under his 2" of lard around his entire body.

He needs to come down to about 225 and get a better strength and conditioning coach.:think

And become muscle bound, slow, and gassing? What's with that obsession over muscles, he is strong enough.

What he lacked were skills, gameplan. And in 90 seconds he didn't show much.

You don't recover completely from the broken hands and other troubles he had. We'll see what he's able to do, but i don't think much.

I've heard that he's been quite strong at deadlift, but that bench press is very hard to believe for a guy with that long arms and virtually no pecs at all.

I find it doubtful that his shoulder will ever be the same again.

Comparing Thorkildsen to a boxer is pretty stupid.

Im not saying for him to become muscle bound, but losing a few lbs around the shoulders and waist might improve his handspeed and fluidity.
Id doubt it would affect him gassing since he doesnt exactly go full throttle during any stretch of a fight.

A little more reflex and handspeed might be what it takes for him to make the next level.

And yeah, rcovering fully from his type of injuries isnt always 100%, but Vitali Klitschko did and simply rested then altered his approach to more off the back foot. Something Helenius could easily learn from a different trainer.

So he looks strong and you think he'll beat wlad in 2016 based on his last win over who? Vs a fighter with a 11-4 record? FOH

They have push/pull powerlifting competitions, bench press and deadlift only.
    Maybe he should do that.
It has zero to do with boxing. And there's no money in it. But just for fun.

It has no bearing whatsoever on how he'd do against Wlad (who probably lifts more too, anyway) .. or anyone.
