That Helenius guy looks kinda robotic, and I think he should hit the gym more often... Certainly not a natural athlete, but I think he can go far by his size and power alone. Though not hoping for the lad that the 'super heavyweight' division comes off, because I don't see him having a chance against the other big heavyweights.
He looks kinda shy in the ring, sticks to basics- guard, jab, 1-2. But these basics look very solid and it seems that on that he can develope a lot more, that he's capable of much more. He's 26 heavyweight- seems to have time to improve.
People were bashing Helenius on here after the fight, but I thought he looked OK. He's only 26, with 11 fights... I think he's got potential if he's moved along right. Is it just me, or does he look a bit like a giant Kelly Pavlik in there! lol
A showdown against Tyson Fury would be interesting. Both guy are big, white, can't throw a jab, and have good uppercuts. Anything could happen.
man that clip was terrible....lamon needs to retire...the man is done....he was one of the few bright spots of the heavyweight division in the last decade...i dont want to see him fight anymore..terrible
that maybe so but he dug down deep and was willing to go to hell and back just to get that title...what heavyweight champ showed as much grit as he did in the last decade...but yeah the wlad fights, krasniqi, meehan, and especially lyakovich fights were too much for a man who had a face first brawling style
It's sad, really. His chin has been slowly chipped away at...too tough for his own good. He would have WRECKED this guy in his prime, but that was sad to watch. He was getting hurt by punches he'd have walked through 5 years ago.
:goodBrewster had the biggest heart in boxing...you could hurt the guy but he wasn't going to let you put him down.
