Maybe top-50, but he struggled with Franz Rill, who isn't a top 100 heavyweight, and Timur Musafarov schooled him in an exhibition fight last November. Now he is ducking Chisora for no reason. I would understand if he doesn't want to fight Chisora if he chose Haye, Joshua, Wilder, ... as opponents. But Duhaupas seems like a high risk low reward type of fighter. If Helenius loses this fight he will likely never get a chance for a big payday again.
Hard to gauge him from 2 fights man... He was shelved for two years and was feasting on come to lose journeymen prior. Rill was an undefeated, and unproven but he came hungry with the intent to win. Musafarov on the other hand.... Well, he also gave Teper and Boystov fits. I'm not one of those who think's Helenius is still a top contender, but I haven't written him off altogether YET.
That's really stupid said. Don't rate power by resume. Rate it by sheer force and video-demonstrations instead. When he connects it's harder than a lot of the big punchers. He hit's harder than Haye and Wilder for sure, but they can catch faster opponents better than robbie, that's the biggest reason for their KO-resumes. Sidenote: Duhaupas is not too fast for Robert...
I think this time we are going to see fresh and healthy Helenius. He is going to stop Duhaupas quicker than Wilder.
Robbe hasn´t look his former self in his last fights but he is coming from an injury so it´s hardly a surprise. Remember, Haye took softer touch on his comeback. Plus rumours say Robbe had his moments against Klitschko and Povetkin when they sparred last autumn. This fight is perfect indicator of his level.
Musafarov is far better than his record indicates. He is a tough customer who would give hell to quite a lot of known european fighters. As for Rill he had been totally unknown before he squarred off against Helenius, undefeated, but no known names among his scalps. I am certainly not sold on Helenius, but lets try to be fair: maybe Rill isnt that bad at all,and the Musafarov fight was an exhibition fight. And honour where honour is due: Helenius will have a quite risky fight with Duhaupas.Little reward, relatively high risk. It could really go either way. And yes,Helenius has looked quite poor in his last few outings to a ring. Helenius hardest puncher in the division??? atsch:!:
