If that Williams bum can hurt Evander now, then Helenius sure can, Holy had rough moments with what looked like an arthritis stricken Nielsen. Holy says he's cool for money, I take it he's lying?
What? Get knocked down, six times? This content is protected FYI, Holy was in his prime then, as he peaked late. Now, the Sugar man's made him damaged goods, even though he did his best to take it easy on him. :deal
Part of me sez: Holyfield is just the kind of opponent needed to light a fire under Helenius' butt. But most of me sez: Holyfield is about to do a Roy Jones Jr imitation, and I don't mean a prime Roy. Sad.
Thinking further: After a lifetime of dirty tactics, Holyfield deserves a little brain damage. Bring it on!
Sherman "The Tank" Williams would have knocked Holyfield out at the "Greenbrier" if Holyfield had not quit because of a cut! He was staggered, Hell, Helenius will kill him!
I was hoping it would be Johnson on that date and hopefully it still is. Holyfield is going to get beat and probably ko'ed but his style will allow him to go some rounds here. I wouldn't be shocked if Holy won a round or two but he's going to take some serious shots and Helenius will stop him in the mid to late rounds. I don't blame anyone for fighting Holy, he's become all reward and little risk. It wouldn't have been too bad if Helenius would have fought him before he beat Peter and Lyackovich. He was still a prospect at that point but now he's moved into contender status so the fight looks even worse. If Holyfield wants to keep fighting than that his call but I just wish he'd stick to guys his level. His fights against Botha and Nielsen were fine, I didn't watch or follow them but obviously some do. He could fight for years against guys like Rahman, Jones, Mercer, Toney, Tarver, etc,but fighting big, young, punchers like Helenius isn't going to end well for Holy.
i agree on the last paragraph im ok with Holyfield taking "Old Guy Fights" by this i mean vs other old fighters, bums, or guys who were good but just arent the same so basically Nielsen and Botha fall in this category Williams does too but he gave Holyfield issues if Holyfield can beat the C level fighters hanging around id say its ok to let him go but when the over matched guys meant for the W start beating him than its time to hang em up
Helenius should have more power for being the size of a North American Moose. **** Helenius,he has no skill,no speed and less power than he should. Holyfield will **** him up.
Sherman Williams giving Holyfield trouble doesn't look well on the old guy. But, yeah, if he sticks to a sort of seniors circuit than go for it, its just when he starts messing with contenders that people really cringe.
if Holyfield manages to win than i would support any fight after that though I think the Klitschkos would brutalize him unless they carry him In a way I wanna see Helenius crush him and KO him badly so it forces the commissions to pull the plug Because a regular loss like vs Valuev where its close and debatable makes him think he is still relevant and can fight anybody he needs to be brought back to earth
If Holy managed to upset Helenius than I'd have no problem with him facing a Klitschko. Helenius is a top 10 heavy and if Holy beat him he'd deserve a lot of credit. I think if the fight happens that Holy is going to take some real punishment and probably gets knocked out as well. I don't know if that will make him think seriously about retiring but I hope it does.
