Williams has never been down, I think?...... Sprott on the other hand is familiar with the canvas. He is going down.
It's only Sprott but I still see this as a chance to make a statement. Helenius must prove that he is back and you gotta beat Sprott effectively to do that. Going to the scorecards would be a catastrophe.
Sprott has a decent chance here. It depends whether he is motivated or not - he often isn't when brought in as the opponent. I reckon Helenius will labour to victory, losing several rounds in the process and possibly getting a gift decision, before getting sparked when fighting a world class opponent later down the line.
Michael Sprott is tough. He has also been KO'd by Audley, and stopped in 5 by Danny Williams, although Danny was legitimately good back then. Hes always liable to pul a surprise though
I was on the Helenius bandwagon and do hope he gets back on track and contends. But man, I like Sprotty. Every time you write him off, he comes up with a big win and re-vitalizes his career. Kind of wish this fight were not happening.
I think this is going to be televised by Epix as the opener to Stieglitz-Abraham. Not a bad opponent for Helenius since he's still testing out his injury. Sprott will come to fight and give him some rounds. After this fight, if he's fine injury-wise, I'd like to see Helenius in some sort of eliminator or atleast take on a top fighter.
Helenius vs Sprott=a stiff, boring Euro fight. Dimitrenko was first, next will be Helenius and then Boytsov. All 3 Euro bums will be gone very soon and be sent to the bottomless pit of boxing irrelevance
Brewster beat Sprott easily back in 2009.. And you remember what Helenius did to Brewster after that? So now it's Sprott against Helenius...
Helenius definitely taking it slow. Oh well, can't blame him for staying busy. Curious where he goes after Sprott.
