Robert Helenius vs Bermane Stiverne. I know Stiverne beat Helenius in the amateurs, but its different in pro games when 12 rounds. Who wins? I take Helenius by late stoppage in 9-10 rounds.
Stiverne if he comes in fit, helenuis has no jab and isn't as fast wilder. But he probably hits harder.
We don't know if Helenius is ever going to be the same. Sad because these are two guys who could have had excellent careers. One lost his career to injury and contract disputes, the other to the buffet table.
To be fair, its not like Stiverne ever GOT fat. Hes been pretty much the same weight throughout his career. He was actually on the lighter side against Wilder.
who has stiverne really beat? I called it before he fought I said both are unproven and wilder beating stiverne means nothing
A bit of an overstatement. Stiverne beat Austin and Arreola, who are by no means world beaters but who masqueraded as contenders for awhile themselves. Helenius beat faded versions of Brewster, Lyakovich and Peter, as well as a good number of tough gatekeeper types. Neither record wows, but neither is "nothing." For his part, Helenius has virtually no squash fights on his record, but jumped in almost immediately to fighting gate keepers and former champs. So he more than earned the ranking that he had.
they both are bums they have done nothing of note the main guys in the heavyweight division is vlad, pov, pav, fury
I'd favour Helenius at his best, to beat the best we've seen of Stiverne. Stiverne has really only beaten Arreola who has always been a gate keeper and Stiverne seems to struggle against tall boxers so is at a style disadvantage. Stiverne dehydration issues against Wilder and his poor physical shape in general suggests his team are not up to scratch which could lead to inconsistent performances. But Helenius has not fought in almost 2 years, who knows if he's anywhere near as good as he was. If he is 80% of the fighter that he was I think he wins.
Helenius if in shape, and has his power knocks Stiverne out. This isn't the amateurs, it's the pros.... I'm also not even sure if Stiverne could outbox even a powerless Robbie, he looked pretty bad last month.
Healthy, fit Helenius stops Stiverne in 8.:think Broken hands, torn shoulder Helenius goes 12 with a close but clear win his way.:think
