New in this forum new in fighting also....
So yeah, i wanted to start boxing but because there is no boxing around where i live, i started training Muay Thai this year at 19 years old. I hope i'm going to move and get a chance to start boxing at new City at 21 or 22 years old. I really don't like muay thai robotic style compered to boxing "dancing" Ali style/rythm , so my question is what are some cool differences when switching to boxing : )?

Switching to boxing is a lot harder than most people would think.
Some obvious differences are spacing and movement - as a kickboxer you're used to keeping a greater distance and more in n' out movement.
Whereas a boxer tends to fight at close quarters and uses a lot more upper body/head defensive movement and blocking.
Also, kickboxers tend to stand more squarely.
When I switched over, the biggest challenges I had to get over were to adopt a boxing stance, keeping my defense tight, and sitting down on my punches more. Oh and keeping my balance - kickboxers (not always, but often) tend to have rudimentary punching, so a lot of times they lunge or reach for punches and get off balance, rather than keeping their punches tight.

Some people switch over easily, whereas some people may progress slower than say - someone who starts fresh, because they have to un-learn the habits & style that they are used to.

Oh yeah, and fighting barefoot is sooo much better than in shoes, so make sure you get a good comfortable pair of boxing shoes when you try it out.

    Welcome, and good luck!

there are differences but i think that is not so hard to switch.

i know many fighters who lately switched and some of them had better results in little time then some experienced boxers
