This is not the lounge bro.

    To the OP:

To tell the truth, she's right, you'll get hurt. On the other hand, what does her opinion really count.

Tell her if she is concerned about the marriage then she better not complain about you boxing. Boxing has nothing to do with cooking or cleaning so its really none of her business..

My parents are the same way as your fiancee, they try to discourage me from boxing and always see it as a negative thing and unnecessary for me, probably because I'm college educated and don't have to box. But it was ok for me to play American football to them. I'm just going to keep on doing it because I've already put so much time and effort into it, and it gets me in great shape, sure it'll cause drama with my family but I'll do what I want. I'm sure you have similar feelings to me on the subject.

  5. I understand why your partner is against it, I would hate to see any family member or partner hurt or suffering.

You want to win her confidence over by showing dedication and potential. Show her it means a lot to you and that you're being cared for by your trainer. She probably wants to see a real good reason why you want to fight then she needs to see it that way too.

Once she gets her head over the idea of fighting, she will probably be 'impressed' on by it. Takes a lot of character to do it

I think you should think of it this way, would you be ok with her boxing ? Chance of her getting injured and busted up? If you would be ( you have to be honest here ) then fair enough, if not maybe you should rethink yourself lol:lol:
