Anyone know which fight it was where they sent Larry over to China and he did an interview with a boxer who didn't speak English and didn't have a translator? It was after Larry left HBO. We hadn't seen him in a really long time on HBO, and then suddenly they shipped him to China and he did this interview on one of the under card fights. Not sure, but it may have been a Nonito Donaire fight? If anyone knows which fight that was an which fighter he was interviewing, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Best guess, one of Shiming Zou's fights in China. He won the gold medal in the Olympics and is popular there. Possibly the IBF flyweight fight vs champion Ruenroeng, which Zou lost.
What Mendoza said I think is correct. I don't think it was Rios/Pac. I remember seeing it on around 5pm or so, it was earlier in the day. Pretty sure it was Amnat Ruenrog vs Shiming. Could be wrong though.
He did lots of Top Rank international broadcasts after departing HBO, actually. (much to my chagrin...I was happy to see/hear the last of him) This incident sounds vaguely familiar (and hilarious).
