The house I have been renting the last 2 years has an extension built on the back of the garage, it is 14 Ft X 8.5 FT. I tried converting it into a playroom for my nippers but too much water gets in there when the weather is really bad so the carpet got ruined.

So I've decided to turn it into a gym, when I was younger I had a heavy bag and a speedball in the garage and was thinking of getting these again.

Is there any other equipment I should think about investing in?

Also can someone suggest a good workout to start out with? I haven't really done any training since I stopped playing football about 4 years back.

Any advice will be much appreciated:good

You can add a double-end bag and a pull-up bar. Some rings would also be really good. Do you want to invest in equipment or do more bodyweight exercises?

I can suggest you Ross website and book "Never Gymless" which is a pretty complete book on bodyweight training, very well explained and there's lots of advices & scientific sources. It's a true jewel, you can go on www.rosstraining.com for more info. In the articles and in the forum there is lot of tips for making your own equipment at low cost.

For more bodyweight exercises, you can go on www.bodyweightculture.com

    Is that a floor-2-ceiling ball?

I just want a good workout centred around boxing. I am not interested in weights or filling the room up with too many large items. I want to keep the floor area as empty as possible so that I can jump rope.

Thanks for the advice and the links:good
