My friend is about 5 foot 9 and 220 pounds, very little of which is muscle. He's pretty un-healthy and he asked me to help him get in shape. I tried doing some of the stuff I do like intervals and it was just too much for him. He's tough though and worked till he puked. I'm trying to develop some sort of program to try to get him in shape and work up to the more intense stuff. Problem is I've always been in shape and never worked with someone in such bad condition so I need help. I want to do something that will challenge him and work him into better shape without discouraging him. Can anyone give me any advice or at least point me in the right direction for something like this?
If you hadn't said, 'he's tough though and worked till he puked', I'd have thought Arran had found himself a trainer for the upcoming bout with nulty.
