I've noticed around here lately a surge in the opinion that Rigondeaux is the most skilled fighter in boxing today. Obviously this means that those folks think he is more skilled than Floyd Mayweather. I'm not bashing anyone here but I just want a logical, levelheaded explanation as to why those who hold this opinion believe Rigo Is p4p the most skilled and specifically why you believe He is more skillful than Mayweather. My opinion on the Matter is that it is hard to tell.
He made an arguable p4p boxer look stupid after a handful of pro fights. Hard to compare to fmj because he has not fought a challenge since Corales rest his soul. Fantastic boxing pedigree, his win against Donaire was the evidence required to prove that he can compete with big punchers in the pros. Just watch his fights, he is a pure boxer.
Remember Donaire was the favorite, a P4Per, FOTY, bigger, some say faster ... Rigo made him look "stupid" as Grinder said. I think Floyd's domination of Corrales was even more emphatic. Everything else being equal (age) I would pick Floyd. In the present, the #1 skill guy in boxing IMHO is Rigo. His style is beautiful.
iv never seen a boxer so pinpoint with is footwork and accuracy. his style is very amateur inspired, if you get a good shot on him he wont let you get out of range without handing you a better shot back
