He comes into his fights at about 150 or so....

He atributes his poor performances to Collazo and Mayweather to the weight..

But if he is coming in a 150 then how is making the 140 limit a benifit to him?

I think what he means to say is he only does well againest 140 fighters:deal... :huh

Talk to me guys, whats what?

I don't think it's so much about the weight, rather it's about the size of the fighters at 147. Look at the reach and height of most 147 lb fighters compared to Hatton, he is very short and has stubby arms, something that doesn't help at all with moving up in weight.

Hatton is a fighter that relies heavily on his physical strength to overwhelm his opponents. At 140 he is clearly a very strong fighter and in most cases, much physically stronger than his opponents.

At 147 though he'd be fighting against boxers that are often slightly bigger and as strong as he is. He therefore can't bully them around the same way he can a natural 140 fighter.

The majority of fighters weigh-in a lot less than what they weigh at fight night. Hatton is doing nothing different to the rest. The difference is that when he rehydrates to his optimum fighting weight of around 152 - if the fight is at 147 he can find himself up against a Collazo that is weighing close to 160 on fight night.

At 140, he has a weight advantage fight night which is very imprortant for a pressure fighter, also he's short handed, and 140 fighters are logically closer to him in size.

i dont know it fustrates me too

how can a fighter be so damn unstoppable like hatton was supposed to be at 140
but as soon as he goes up 7 whole pounds he becomes rubbish

i mean come into ring as a light-middleweight then what the hell is the problem with fighting at 147

some people have finaly understood hatton is an over-rated brawler with no skills simple
if you take the fans away, he is no one special

fighters at 147 are accustomed to fighting stronger guys. Hatton's main attribute is his strength. You put it together.

that is a good point too

that is why khan will beat him at 140

taller, big reach advantage, trained by roach, sparred with pac man
    faster hands than pac man

and there will not be a big weight advantage for hatton

the only thing hatton has going for him his kahn's chin, but freddie roach aint no fool he knows amir has a glass jaw

so i think kahn should fight him, finish him off
and put the final stamp on hatton's legacy

agent blue hit the nail on the head. its the size of the opponent at 147. Can u imagine hatton vs margarito, it would look silly them two standing toe to toe.

  11. Because at 147 He will be facing guys weighing 160+

He does better at 140 because the competition he has faced at 140 wasn't that good to begin with.

    Size, Size, Size.

Ask Mayweather, he'll explain it to you....
