That was his optimum weight...Fighting at WW he was not naturally strong enough to do what he did at LWW, and by tring to move down in weight (I am not sure he could), he would be so dehydrated, he probably could not recover. The weight differences are not that much in this day and age, as nearly every fighter (If not all) rehydrate and gain 5-10 (and in some cases more) between weighins and fight night. It's pretty simple this is his best weight in regards to what his body is capable of and who his opponents are and what size they are.

Is this a joke thread? He comes in at 150 for fights scheduled at 140 so he should schedule his fights at 147? At 147, his opponents would all be coming in closer to 160, so his 150 wouldn't match up.

It was really just a way to discredit Mayweathers win over him...Truth is hatton would be stronger with the less weight that he has to cut for a fight. Hatton isnt a small man, so cutting weight makes him weaker...Im not saying that it would have made any difference in a fight with Pac he would have still lost to pac at 147.

Thats my point.. he tried to make it seem that 147 just wasnt a good weight for him because he said after the Collazo fight that he didnt put the weight on properly and a bunch of BS..

But the reality is he didnt put on weight he still had to lose weight for the fight. Just less.

You should be able to do a little research on this yourself...There are different ways to put on weight....Ricky's method was not the best, and at least he was able to realize it. Most people on here understand this, hope you do or will shortly!
