Well, I quit fighting myself for a while. I still train very hard though. So, I like to train people, and work with people to make them better, and usually I do pretty good, I'm very patient, and go step by step. I just needed some pointers, and things to do. Anyways, it'll be at an actual gym. So, I have no access to a punching bag...Just hand mits, and things (figure I'll buy one of those body protectors as well). I figure here's basically what I'll teach, and the order: There stance/ where there hands should be teach them basic 1 punches at first Distance once they get that down teach them movement (forward, back, sides, head movement, bobbing/ weaving) Combos DRILL them on how to use there physichal attributes That's basically all I got. Again, I got no heavy bag, and no speed bag. Of course I can tell them how to get in to BOXING SHAPE through conditioning, or what they can do on there bag if they have one, but am I missing anything boxing related? you guys who actually teach...What all do you do?
Considering how interest you seem to put in this, I honestly think you'll probably do fine, the main issue about training is not the appareil, but the trainer's (and the pupil's) attitude
Thanks. Yeah, I know the mental game is most important. I'm pretty good at beating how they should think/ feel/ etc in to there heads until they belive it. Right now I'm training this very muscular boy for toughman next year...reminded me a lot of myself so I told him I'd love to train him. Then, just a friend that's interested, but will never do anything with it (just to see how well I can do). Main reason is so I can actually see how good I can do, it's something to keep in good shape while I'm not fighting, and I should learn some just by teaching them.
I guess you're right, u cannot ever forget about learning, even when you're supposed to be teaching... that's wise
