    Guys,
I need your help. I have a fight next Friday and i feel like bag of **** with low moral. I got a new sparring partner last week and he knocks the **** out of me. He is definatly a good few levels above me but it doesnt make me feel any better.
My last fight was a war and i lost on points. I got a ready seeing too but i gave it my best and came out with my dignity. Im a 200+lb fighter and not out of choice so my options are limited when it comes to style.
Is it just a case of "suck it up princess" or is there something i can do to bring my attitude back. Maybe ther is something you do before a fight.

    Thanks in advance
    'bus

    Where are you fighting, bus?
I don't have much advice for you, as I have yet to fight myself but I'm a 200 lber in Ontario as well hoping to fight this year.
Good luck...remember your opponent is likely equally nervous.

the idea of sparring on an amature level , is so that you both get something out of it.. if your not learing something from your sparring partner you need another one. sounds like its a one way show, bring it your coaches attention, a good coach will make the proper adjustments. best of luck mate.

Whatever you enjoy doing, just do it. Looking up porn, reading a nice book, watching the soccer ... everyone has their own idea of a 'simple pleasure'. If your that low on morale still ... at least go into the fight in a really really pissed off mood, like your ready to kill someone.

I was going to mention something about that. I always feel better going into a fight coming off of a good sparring session. It's amazing what doing well in the gym just once will do for you confidence. Getting the crap kicked out of you for no reason is pointless and only sets you back.

You are alll correct about the sparring thing. I was comming off some fantastic sessions and was on top of the world. Now after Thursday my ****ing left ribs are injured frombody shot (and some arsing around in the pool afterwards)
So good ol me goes into fight with an injury and a mental problem. :patsch
I like the idea of "if all else fails go in pissed off" its not the best situation but its better that pulling an "Oliver McCall"

Looks like the guy is a come forward head puncher so i'll need to move a bit.
    thanks for the help
    keep it up:good
