Got my ticket for the Haye-Vlad fight on Friday now working out the cheapest way of getting there.

Ryanair are doing flights from London Stansted for £1 each way to Frankfurt-Hahn (got a booking fee of £10 as well so £12 in all).

However trains between Gelsenkirchen and Frankfurt are really expensive it seems so are there decent bus routes? How quickly can I get from Frankfurt-Hahn to the Stadium and then back to Frankfurt City Centre after the fight?

Any tips and help much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Adam

Cant you get a flight from London to Duesseldorf,Dordmund,or one of the neighbouring cities in the netherlands?

Frankfurt is too far away from that region around Gelsenkirhcken.

Stay a night in Gelsehnkicrhen 's neighbouring city Bochum.Cheap hotels and pensions there.Excellent public transport to Gelsehnkircken.10 min. by train,or a couple of minutes more by tram and public bus transit.

Frankfurt was a bad choice.Too far away from GK.Would have been better to spend some bucks more on a flight to Duessledorf or Dordmung!

Well I haven't booked anything yet. I can go to Dusseldorf-Weeze from Birmingham at the same price but I think all the train and bus costs that route would involve would be as expensive.

I was hopinh there would be special buses running from the major cities/airports to the fight. I guess not though.

Anyway thanks for your help - just been searching some posts on here and it looks like the Dusseldorf-Weeze route isn't too bad.
